Licensing & Regulations

As you proceed in obtaining the required coursework, licensure and forms for starting your own farmstead or artisan dairy, be sure to contact your local food safety inspector early in the planning process. You will continue to work closely with your inspector when your business is up and running, and it is never too early to start developing a relationship with your local officials.
